Tomorrow’s memories

“Create moments today, that you want to remember tomorrow”

I’m feeling lazy this morning… I could quite easily sit on the couch and watch TV all day.

But if I did that, come tomorrow, I would have dull memories. I’m capable of creating so much more in my life.

So today, I’m going to:

  • Spend some time outside, exploring with my dog.
  • Spark up conversations with neighbors, and maybe some strangers.
  • Get stuck into my books and learn new things.
  • Drink, laugh and catch up with old friends on the phone.

By tomorrow, I will have fond memories of today. And just maybe, I’ll have created a moment I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

Happy weekend everyone 🙂

  • I’m fond of saying “forward progress.” You don’t have to get everything done. Hopefully, we focus on the most important activities. But even if we make forward progress on things other than the most important, it IS still forward progress. I don’t beat myself up for watching some TV at the end of the day. But if I’m watching TV and I’ve made no forward progress on anything, I feel pretty awful. Getting work done, working on investments, spending time with friends and family, personal development, even doing home maintenance, these all are forward progress. I have to make forward progress on something every day or else I feel pretty bad.

    • 100%. Love your attitude. I feel great watching TV after a massive day of progress. But it never feels good if I feel I haven’t earned it.

Another thing I’ve started doing is activities while watching TV at night. Instead of sitting and watching, maybe I’ll iron clothes, do some stretching, pull out a puzzle or paint rocks. Multitasking is easy while watching and makes me feel a teeny bit less useless 🙂
