Yesterday was my wife’s parents’ 42nd wedding anniversary!
I asked my mother in law what is the secret to a happy and successful marriage… Her answer was:
“Independence and interdependence.
We are both independent — every day we go out and do what we have to do — but we always come back together. I get the independence that I need, but he is always there for me.
And it’s not just the 2 of us. Our world and family involves a lot of other people. We all share the special moments together”
(the bird’s name is Izzy!)
