Lead From The Middle

Are you a “leader”?

If you asked me this question 6 months ago, I would have said No.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always shied away from leadership positions. I thought being a leader meant you had to be at the front of the pack. The quarterback. All eyes on you.

I thought, there can only be 1 leader in every group, right?

Wrong.

One day my Dad shared an encouraging phrase that stuck with me… He described me as someone who likes to “lead from the middle”.

This kind of blew my mind. There’s more than 1 type of leader? Leadership can come from anyone, in any position?

Hmmm… Maybe I am a leader? I certainly think and act like one.

Maybe YOU are a leader too? Maybe your leadership is needed right now in these uncertain times?

Try one of these today:

– Lead from the middle
– Lead by example
– Lead by encouragement
– Lead by staying positive
– Lead by being different
– Lead by staying true to your authentic self
– Lead by giving someone hope
– Lead by making someone’s day
– Lead by sharing
– Lead by helping

Have a great day,
– Joel
