Where there’s a will, there’s a wave

On Wednesday I went surfing, I was out there with about 50 other people.

But, out of those 50 dudes, only 5-10 were actually catching all the waves. The other 40 guys were all missing out.

Why?… They were either sitting in the wrong spot, too lazy to paddle for waves, too scared they were in someone’s way, complaining about the freezing water, too intimidated by others, couldn’t decide whether to go for one or not, or were waiting for a ‘perfect’ wave to come.

A good surfer once gave me this advice: Paddle for everything. Big, small, ugly, crowded or shallow… Go for everything! That’s how you catch waves.

And I’ve learned it’s also excellent advice for living life… Try everything. Experience as much as you can. Even if it’s scary or seems uncomfortable, try it! Paddle your hardest!

If you don’t, you’ll be just floating around watching other people have fun on waves that could have been yours. 🙂

Happy Friday! Try your hardest and finish the week strong 💪. Like my buddy Art Williams says… Just do it!
